Martin’s father is also a mountain guide, so he was sort of born with an interest in mountaineering. At the age of 7 he has reached the peak of Grossglockner the first time, following his father lead.
After intense climbing in youth and young manhood he decided at the age of 18 to take part in the education for professional mountain guiding.
Since passing the first semester in August 2002 he is working as a full time professional guide. He is doing his job in summer and winter all over the Alps. Additionally to the fact that this “job” is also his passion, he can combine this activities perfectly with his hobby which is photography.
